fantasy football, NFL, sports news

Glad to have football Sundays back. We’re all winners this morning, even if you’re tired and have a pounding headache from all the football gluttony yesterday (guilty).

Still. Totally worth it.

Monday mornings are not good for most things. Like working. Why am I awake right now? It’s certainly not to bring you this post. I’m getting paid to do something else, not look at football stats.

So I just took a look at all the stats from yesterday and … WOW! There were some great performances from a lot of players who are mostly unowned in fantasy leagues. Means there will be a lot of movement on waiver wires this week.

Suggestion: Don’t break the bank on any of these guys. I’m not sure there is a definitive waiver wire wonder among these yet. Spend wisely and cautiously this week.

Terrelle Pryor, Raiders
Told you.

Carson Palmer, Cardinals
The garbage time king played well all game and has some nice weapons.

Running Backs

Da’rel Scott, Giants
If the Giants are going to mess around with David Wilson, you want to own Scott. Looked service-able.

Daniel Thomas, Dolphins
I hate myself for listing him, but he’s a factor unfortunately.

Joique Bell, Lions
Told you.

Knile Davis, Chiefs
Jamaal Charles is going to break at some point.

Felix Jones, Steelers
Didn’t have a carry yesterday, but that’s going to change going forward. Isaac Redman is crap. Still, only a plug until Le’Veon Bell gets back. Don’t waste your money.

Mike Tolbert, Panthers
Played more snaps than DeAngelo Williams. Touches will come, but how soon? Needs to happen before Jonathan Stewart returns.

Wide Receivers

Reuben Randle, Giants
Another player I think may be inconsistent week-to-week, but emerging as a starting WR talent down the road for the Giants.

Julian Edelman, Patriots

Edit: Changed my mind. I’m all in. Too much working in his favor at the moment. Spend all the monies.

Doug Baldwin, Seahawks
Somebody has to catch passes in Seattle. Leader in the clubhouse.

Brian Hartline, Dolphins
Mike Wallace on the other side helps, but how many touchdowns is he really going to score this year?

Jerome Simpson, Vikings
All people want to do is talk about rookie WRs. Cordarelle Patterson had one catch yesterday. Go with the vets.

Denarius Moore, Raiders
Best receiver in Oakland.

Michael Floyd/Andre Roberts, Cardinals
You might want one of these guys. Arizona going to throw the ball a lot.

Tight Ends

Jared Cook, Rams

Julius Thomas, Broncos
I think there will be inconsistency week-to-week, but an obvious add for tight end needy owners. Also … Told you.

Jordan Cameron, Browns
Offseason sleeper blossomed Week 1 in a tight end friendly offense.
