The injury bug hit fantasy owners in a major way in Week 7. Darren McFadden, Beanie Wells, Tim Hightower and maybe even Matthew Stafford bit the dust this week and could miss time going forward.

It is going to be tough to replace those guys in lineups, but fantasy owners can turn to the waiver wire for some help.

Quarterbacks

John Beck, Redskins [279-1-1; 3-10-1]
Beck’s debut was not all bad, even though the Redskins lost. He turned the ball over less than Rex Grossman.

Christian Ponder, Vikings [219-2-2; 4-31]
Rookie looked decent in his debut against the defending champs. Had the Vikings in the game in the 4th quarter. His mobility is a nice bonus.

Running Backs

DeMarco Murray, Cowboys [25-253-1]
Should have been picked up last week, but if he is on the wire for some ungodly reason he must be claimed this week.

Maurice Morris, Lions [9-50; 2-13]
Two more touches than Keiland Williams, but both are options off the wire for desperate owners.

Delone Carter, Colts [10-89-1]
Carter played more than any Colts’ running back and gashed the Saints for big gains. The lone bright spot for the Colts’ on Sunday night.

Wide Receivers

Terrell Owens, Free Agent
Deep leagues only. He is doing a workout this week to show that he is healthy and could help a WR-needy team down the stretch.

Antonio Brown, Steelers [7-102]
Finally turned those targets into something.

Steve Breaston, Chiefs [5-64]
Since returning to full health, Breaston has been a factor in the Chiefs’ passing game.

Darrius Heyward-Bey, Raiders [5-89]
Any doubt he is the best Raiders’ WR to own? Continues to produce despite the terrible quarterbacking (6 INTs) in this game.

Tight Ends

Fred Davis, Redskins [6-80-1]
Could be floating around in some leagues, worth a look as a bye week tight end.
