There were several rookies that had good fantasy seasons this year, but none performed like Rams quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford finished with 18 touchdowns passing while nearly leading the Rams to a division title.
The future is bright for The Hazean’s 2010 Fantasy Rookie of the Year, Sam Bradford.
The rest of 2010′s top five rookies:
2. Mike Williams, WR, Bucs- Williams finished with 65 catches for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was the go-to receiver for quarterback Josh Freeman and played well beyond his years. If Williams can avoid the sophomore slump, he may produce some big numbers in his second year in the system.
3. LeGarrette Blount, RB, Bucs- The future sure is bright in Tampa. This team won 10 games with such young talent. If Blount had started the whole season he may have finished as the rookie of the year. Blount had 1007 yards rushing with six touchdowns in 13 games. He only started in seven of those games.
4. Rob Gronkowski, TE, Patriots- Tight ends rarely get the publicity they deserve in competitions like this one, but Gronkowski deserves recognition. He finished with 42 catches for 546 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was a scoring machine for the Patriots. He has soft hands and quick feet. He will be terrorizing defenses in the Patriots’ offense for years to come.
5. Chris Ivory, RB, Saints- Ivory had 716 yards rushing and five touchdowns in 12 games, four as a starter. He is a powerful back that would deliver more than he received in punishment, but that often left him with nagging injuries. He is hard to bring down and could be the powerful option the Saints need if he can remain healthy all season.
