You are a football fan. You already know that the Packers outlasted Pittsburgh to win the Super Bowl yesterday in Dallas.

Aaron Rodgers was great. He overcame a number of drops by his receivers, an injury to Donald Driver and the complete and utter lack of a running game. Rodgers winning the MVP was as sure a thing as there was yesterday.

Other players of note: Jordy Nelson had a career-changing game. He did drop a few passes, still. James Starks was a virtual non-factor. The Packers did not even try to run the ball, though. Mike Wallace finally came out of his playoff shell. Rashard Mendenhall was having a good game until the costly fumble. It was the biggest turning point of the game.

So now that the Super Bowl is over, football fans are left in limbo. Will the players and owners agree to a new collective bargaining agreement by March 4? Will there be free agency?

Even more important, will there be football in 2011???

Here are today’s great reads:

  • More on Aaron Rodgers’ epic MVP performance in the Super Bowl yesterday. He tore it up, there is no denying it. I have been a little harsh on him but have to give props where props are due. Now we get to hear about how he stepped out of Brett Favre‘s shadow blah blah blah … [ProFootballTalk]
  • Rams’ rookie quarterback Sam Bradford won AP Offensive Rookie of the Year over the weekend. No surprise there, Bradford led the Rams to within one game of the playoffs in his first year under center. Get him some receivers and St. Louis would be a favorite to win the NFC West next year. [Shutdown Corner]
  • One last look back at the 2010 fantasy football season, with 10 lessons one fantasy owner learned over the course of the NFL schedule. The first two lessons are heavy on Michael Vick knowledge. [Bruno Boys]
