Sleeper Watch, fantasy football, NFL, sleepers

Last week was an abysmal performance by me in the sleeper category.

I only made one correct pick: Thank you Michael Crabtree. The likes of Sam Bradford, Jimmy Graham, Ladell Betts, and Chris Ivory let me and fantasy owners down in week 5.

Hopefully, this week I will perform up to par.

Josh Freeman, QB, Bucs- Freeman has led the Bucs to a 3-1 record and will face a depleted Saints secondary. Freeman is coming into his own in only his second season and could help out any team in a bind for a quarterback.

Ryan Matthews, RB, Chargers- Matthews is only getting nine carries the past couple weeks, but he has looked good in his few opportunities. The Chargers face the Rams who were blown out of the water the previous week by the Lions. Look for a similar score against the Chargers.

Santonio Holmes, WR, Jets- Holmes was targeted several times in his first game back against the Vikings. Champ Bailey will likely cover Braylon Edwards leaving Holmes open for business against the Broncos secondary.

Aaron Hernandez, TE, Patriots- The Patriots are facing the tough Ravens defense without the game changer Randy Moss. Look for Brady to rely heavily on his tight ends, especially Hernandez.
