Grab Bag, fantasy football, waiver wire

Let me start off by saying that the injury bug wasn’t kind to me this past week.  Owning both Ryan Mathews and Micheal Turner in one league was detrimental to my fantasy success.  Hopefully the addition of a few free agents can get things turned around.

Jason Snelling (RB, Atlanta Falcons)- Turner was pulled from last Sunday’s match because of a strained groin and due to the fact that Atlanta was blowing the Cardinals out.  If Turner continues to suffer from the groin injury, Snelling has proven that he is more than capable to fulfill the starting duties.

Dustin Keller (TE, New York Jets) – Keller has emerged as Marc Sanchez’s favorite target, after going 7 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown.  If Keller can stay consistent, he’ll be a top 5 tight end by the end of the year.

Miami Dolphins (Defense)- Miami has quietly begun the season with a 2-0 start.  Much of the thanks goes to the defense as they have held each opponent to only 10 points.  The Fins match up against the Jets, which should be a defensive slug match.

Josh Freeman (QB, Tampa Bay)- Few people expected much from the Buccaneer’s offense this year, but Josh Freeman has put up impressive numbers thus far into the season.  The young QB hasn’t thrown for over 200 yards in a game yet, but his ability to score in the redzone has been his saving grace.  Freeman has a tough matchup against the Steelers, but after his week 4 bye, he has favorable matchups for the next several weeks.
