If there is one thing fantasy footballers love more than the NFL, it is a good practical joke. Especially at the expense of another league member.

So when I read this story about a guy — new to fantasy football and the NFL in general — who was given a set of fantasy rankings for the 2005 season to draft his team for this year, it got me thinking about good fantasy football-related pranks. And how I have, seriously, no good stories to tell regarding fantasy football pranks.

How lame is that?

So this year, I want to pull a fast one on some unsuspecting member in one of my fantasy leagues. But I need some ideas, and that is where you guys come into play. Drop your best fantasy football prank stories in the comments and give us all a good laugh and some good ideas!

• Participating in fantasy mock drafts may be the best tool fantasy owners can utilize to prepare for real draft day. Thanks to the power of the internet, taking part in a mock draft is so much easier these days (no more long email chains!). [SI.com]
• I generally do not get involved with defense rankings here on this blog, but I know fantasy owners need some knowledge on the subject heading into fantasy draft season. So I will provide some defensive-minded links here and there. Hope that is good enough, because there are just too many variables and unknowns for my liking.
