Happy Training Camp month everybody!
NFL training camps will commence later this month — that is right, folks, THIS month — which means football and fantasy football are right around the corner once again.
And that also means every last one of you is agonizing over one thing right now: What to name your fantasy football team this season.
So we are here to help. Submit your best fantasy football team name into our contest and see how it stacks up against everyone else’s this month. We will pick the ten or so best, throw them out for a public vote and see which team name is the best for the month of July.
Here are today’s great reads:
- If you are having some trouble coming up with a fantasy football team name this year, consider using a fantasy football team name generator. Whenever I have trouble, I always turn to my favorite media: TV shows like Seinfeld, movies like Anchorman and online comics like Dinosaur Comics also provide great fantasy football team name fodder. - Fantasy owners expected a huge jump in production from Falcons’ quarterback Matt Ryan last season after a promising rookie campaign, but the consistency just was not there for the better part of the season. After a strong offseason, fantasy owners should draft Ryan with confidence this summer. He certainly has the weapons. [FanHouse]
- Spent a lot of time this week discussing the Seattle running game. Other fantasy bloggers are doing the same this week, but this one likes Leon Washington over Justin Forsett as a fantasy running back this season. [Fantasy Knuckleheads]
- Terrell Owens remains teamless. Will some team pick him up prior to the start of training camp, or wait for some receiver to go down with an injury before doing so? TO should still have some game left in the tank and he checked the attitude — for the most part — at the door last season. Kind of surprised he has not been picked up yet, actually. [FFToolBox]
