Daily Haze, fantasy football, NFL, sports news

Merry Christmas everyone!

First, a programming note: Wake up early tomorrow morning to open your presents, which may or may not include a new laptop or netbook (or late waiver wire additions to help you win this weekend). Fire that puppy up, then check in to The Hazean for all the start and sit advice you can handle for fantasy championship weekend.

While I do not plan to post in person tomorrow, there will be a written-ahead-of-time start/sit piece posting early Christmas morning. And just when you thought all the presents had been unwrapped.

Big game tomorrow night in terms of fantasy playoffs and the NFL playoffs. Anyone benching Chris Johnson? Thought not. A few other players worth monitoring, however.

Start ‘em

Vince Young, QB, Titans
We know y’all are starting Philip Rivers tonight, but what about VY? Gets the Chargers at home in a must-win … would be risky, but lots of upside here.

Vincent Jackson, WR, Chargers
Remember how bad the Titans’ pass defense was earlier this season? Sure, they have been much better since that six-game slide, but still vulnerable.

Sit ‘em

LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, Chargers
Fantasy owners without viable depth at RB cannot afford to do this. But those who made it this far in spite of Tomlinson may consider it.

Kenny Britt, WR, Titans
The return of Justin Gage hurts Britt’s fantasy value, as evidenced last week — Gage caught two passes for two touchdowns.
