One week to go in most fantasy leagues. At this point, waiver wire additions may not really help your chances of winning the championship.

But they could help your opponent.

Consider picking up a hot player or two from this list this week to block your opponent from doing so. Or, if you really need the help.

  • David Garrard, QB, Jaguars [223-3]
  • Jerome Harrison, RB, Browns [286-3; 2-12]
  • Ryan Moats, RB, Texans [46]
  • Maurice Morris, RB, Seahawks [126-1; 5-35]
  • Michael Bush, RB, Raiders [133-1; 1-11]
  • JerMichael Finley, TE, Packers [9-74-1]
  • Matt Cassel, QB, Chiefs [331-2]
  • Justin Gage, WR, Titans [2-43-2]

For those of you worried about Colts and/or Saints starters going forward, both teams have a few interesting options buried on the bench. If you play in a league that has fantasy championships in week 17, any of these players could have a significant impact:

  • Mike Hart, RB, Colts
  • Austin Collie, WR, Colts
  • Lynell Hamilton, RB, Saints
  • David Thomas, TE, Saints

And finally, for those in dynasty leagues, Matt Moore [299-3] makes for an interesting pick-up this week. He did not look great most of the game against Minnesota but did not throw and interception and found the endzone three times.
