Grab Bag, fantasy football, waiver wire

Raise your hand if Kurt Warner or Aaron Rodgers burned you this weekend in the fantasy playoffs.

Both of these top-10 quarterbacks failed to throw a single touchdown pass or eclipse 200 yards passing.  Sadly I had Warner on my team, but fortunately I was playing against Rodgers.  I was able to squeak past the quarters and am now playing for the right to make it to the championship game.

Here are a few guys who could give you that extra bump to get past the semi finals and on to the championship round:

Arian Foster [RB, Houston Texans] - With Steve Slaton out for the season, Chris Brown ineffective and Ryan Moats having fumbling woes, Foster looks to get the nod as the feature back going forward.  Foster led all Texans running backs with 13 carries against the Seahawks.  With a juicy matchup against the St. Louis Rams on the horizon, Foster could catapult your team into fantasy immortality.

Chris Jennings/Joshua Cribbs [RBs, Cleveland Browns] - Both guys excelled in last Thursday’s win over the Steelers.  Jennings had a score, while Cribbs racked up the 87 yards.  Both guys split time, so it is tough to determine which one will get the bulk of the work going forward.  Either way, if one of these two can separate themselves from the pack, favorable matchups against Kansas City and Oakland in the upcoming weeks could provide for fantasy gold.

Maurice Morris [RB, Detroit Lions] - With Kevin Smith going down to a season-ending injury, Morris looks to be the starter for the Lions for the remainder of the season.  The Lions face the Cardinals this week, who just gave up 150+ yards and a score to Frank Gore.  While Morris is definitely not Gore by any stretch of the imagination, he should see 20+ carries in next week’s matchup.
