Fantasy owners who have not clinched a playoff berth yet find themselves up against a wall this weekend. Win, or watch your friends chase our fun little fake championships.

Injuries continue to ravage fantasy rosters. Concussions appear to be the injury-du-jour these days, sidelining quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers alike.

There is much for fantasy owners to weigh this weekend. If your team is plagued by the concussion bug or some other ailment, there may be some help on the waiver wire as a one-and-done start.

Potential Week 13 Plug-and-Plays

The players listed below are unowned in a majority of fantasy football leagues and have favorable match-ups in week 13. Any one of these guys is worth a start this weekend for an in-need fantasy football owner.

Quarterbacks

Alex Smith @ Seahawks
Every time I gain confidence in Smith, he tends to post a fantasy clunker. Maybe not this week, eh?

Chris Redman v. Eagles
Sure, he filled in nicely for Matt Ryan against the Bucs. But the Eagles? For a desperate owner, it could be a gigantic risk/reward play.

Running Backs

Correll Buckhalter @ Chiefs
Buckhalter got 20 carries against the Giants. He failed to do much with them, but that could change against Kansas City’s D.

Cadillac Williams @ Panthers
Scored a touchdown last week despite low yardage output. His value is dependent on TDs it appears, but worth the risk against a suspect run D.

Wide Receivers

Laveranues Coles v. Lions
Chad OchoCinco should rebound with a nice game here and Coles as well. The Lions are pretty generous.

Kenny Britt @ Colts
Vince Young and the Titans now have their biggest test of this five-game winning streak. Let’s see if VY and Britt are for real.

Tight Ends

Todd Heap @ Packers
This game kind of has an old school feel to it, and that could mean lots and lots of passes to tight ends.

Kickers

Kris Brown @ Jaguars
He still has the job in Houston and the Texans like to score points. And in this game, points should be plentiful.

DSTs

Bears DST v. Rams
Chances are good that Chicago’s unit has been cast aside in your fantasy league. Could be good for a one-week-only use.
