Most fantasy leagues start the fantasy postseason in NFL week 14, which means this weekend in the last chance for fantasy owners to punch a ticket.

Is your team in the dance?

If not, there are a few ways to give yourself a chance to dance this weekend. But you have to be willing to pull out all the stops and get a little unconventional.

Be bold. Take some chances with your starting lineups this weekend. Consider dumping an average defense for one with a better matchup on the waiver wire. Evaluate any and all underperforming players in your stating lineups and make a change if necessary.

Forget about the names. Sure you drafted Matt Forte in the first round and he is your boy. But he has been a big disappointment from a fantasy standpoint this season. And if you still are out of the postseason, he likely had a lot to do with it this year ( Forte is just an example as he draws a very favorable matchup against the Rams this weekend and would be really hard to sit). It always is hard to bench the big names, but now is not the time for misguided loyalty. Now is the time for results.

Consult the numbers. Check the matchups for every player on your team this weekend and scrutinize the opposing defenses. Also figure out what your team needs to do in terms of points for any potential tiebreaker scenario, and glance at the potential playoff scenarios in your league before the start of the weekend. Use the numbers as a guide, but at the end of the day go with your gut.

Ask for help. Finally, if you just cannot decide on a position or two, ask for help. You can drop us a line in the comments or a direct message on Twitter. Or you can head over for some live gameday help from the experts at ESPN, Yahoo! and RotoWorld.
