In this week’s episode of the Johnsons, two Johnsons are trying to recover from injuries while the third Johnson is being disciplined for bad behavior. All three Johnsons are in high demand. Do not fret, fantasy owners, there are more than enough Johnsons to go around!
OK, enough with the silly Johnson jokes. Updates on three of your favorite Johnsons (last one, I swear!) below:
Larry Johnson, RB, Chiefs: LJ has been formally suspended by the Chiefs following his Twitter outburst after Sunday’s loss to the Chargers. He has been suspended by the team for two weeks.
Jamaal Charles is the appropriate add in fantasy leagues. He likely is challenging Shonn Greene currently for the most-added player off the waiver wire this week.
Unfortunately Charles will have no impact on fantasy games this weekend, as the Chiefs are idle.
Andre Johnson, WR, Texans: After suffering a lung contusion last weekend which sent AJ to the hospital, the star receiver in Houston guarantees he will suit up and play this weekend. This is great news for AJ owners and those of Matt Schaub, Steve Slaton and Owen Daniels.
While he struggled with nagging injuries earlier in his career, Johnson’s toughness here should not be understated. His team clearly needs him on the field and he plans to be there for them.
Calvin Johnson, WR, Lions: Megatron still has not been able to practice. His status for this weekend’s favorable match-up against the Rams is way up in the air.
If he can get in a limited practice today and/or tomorrow, Johnson could be a game-time decision this Sunday. Fantasy owners need to be prepared for life without Megatron if it comes to that.
