Fantasy owners were paced by a few gigantic efforts from wide receivers last weekend. And again this weekend, a few receivers — Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Marques Colston to name a few — had big weekends.
But the quarterbacks of the league stole the show yesterday.
Owners of Tom Brady, Matt Schaub and Drew Brees all should be in positions to win this week, likely by large margins. Hopefully you drew a good match-up this weekend and did not have to face another owner of a big-day quarterback.
More on the performance of the quarterbacks this week in today’s Monday Morning Rehab as well as plenty of injury updates. Until then, here are a few guys sure to move off the waiver wire this week:
- Lance Moore, WR, Saints (6-78-1)
- Sidney Rice, WR, Vikings (6-176)
- Zach Miller, TE, Raiders (6-139-1)
- Laurence Maroney, RB, Patriots (123-1; 3-10)
- Visanthe Shiancoe, TE, Vikings (4-48-2)
Here are today’s great reads:
- It looks like the end of the road has come for fantasy owners hoping to use Jason Campbell as a bye week stop gap in fantasy leagues. [Bruno Boys]
- Of all the quarterbacks enjoying pleasant Sundays, perhaps none were better than Tom Brady and his five second quarter touchdowns. [Shutdown Corner]
- On the flip side, Mark Sanchez was awful for the New York Jets. So bad that head coach Rex Ryan considered pulling the kid from the game in the loss to the Bills. [ProFootballTalk]
- More on Sidney Rice’s huge week against the Ravens and other waiver wire thoughts for those making claims this morning. [FanHouse]
- This is from last week but still relevant: Fantasy players losing keeper value by the minute, not including a potentially-declining LaDainian Tomlinson. [Lester's Legends]
