The Minnesota Vikings may have found the answer to its quarterback dilemma without forking over an arm and a leg — and then another pair — for New England’s Matt Cassel.
According to several media outlets, Sage Rosenfels is on his way to Minnesota any day now. He would immediately become the odds-on favorite to start at QB for the Vikes on day one of the 2009 season, and should provide a little bit of explosiveness to what has been a pretty dead passing game since the Dante Culpepper-Randy Moss days.
Fantasy owners want to know where Rosenfels would rank as a starting quarterback. Personally, given the info we have right now, I would rank him just outside of the top-12. He has put up some big numbers in the past as a backup to the oft-injured Matt Schaub, and the Vikings have some talent in the passing game on offense.
Still, the deal needs to get done before any speculation can come to fruition. So stay tuned!
