Daily Haze

Not a great sign when Dallas owner Jerry Jones calls out the team’s starting running back. I wonder what it is like to be in Marion Barber’s shoes this week.

One thing we know for sure is going on in Barber’s shoes is the toe injury he suffered back on Thanksgiving Day. After getting called out by Jones, I am sure Barber will suit up for this weekend’s must-win game against the New York Giants.

The G-Men may have the division locked up, but if you think these guys are going to lie over for the Cowboys you have another thing coming. I told you guys to avoid Barber last week, and I still think he should be avoided if possible the next two weekends.

Here are today’s great reads:

  • Matt Cassel has been every bit as good as Tom Brady was back in 2001. Shameless pat on the back, I called it back in week 2. [RotoNation]
  • Joseph Addai’s season has been a disappointing one for his fantasy owners and looks to be on the downswing. [Roto Arcade]
  • With the loss to the Eagles in week 14, will the media start blaming losses and other problems for the Giants on the absence of Plaxico Burress? [NFL GridIron Gab]
  • It took long enough for the Seahawks’ offense to arrive, and now may be the time to roster a few of these guys. [Roto Arcade]
  • Matt Schaub still looks like a breakout candidate at fantasy quarterback, but can he stay healthy for an entire season? [Every Morning Quarterback]
