Marc has been on the money with most of his sleeper picks the last few weeks. And now, the most important week of the fantasy season is upon most fantasy owners: The first round of the playoffs.

I know there must be some playoff-bound owners out there with injury or other concerns. Maybe one of these sleepers could be the difference between your season ending this week or a few weeks down the road.

For most fantasy owners, the playoffs start this week. A timely sub for an injured player or one with a bad matchup could be clutch in the first round of the postseason.

Here are a few deep sleepers who could help fantasy owners win in the playoffs.

Kerry Collins, QB, Titans - Collins is coming off a game where all he had to do was turn and hand the ball off. The Browns will force Collins to throw and it shouldn’t be too hard to do against the Browns defense. I know they held down Peyton Manning, but the Browns are ready to give up.

Jamaal Charles, RB, Chiefs - The Broncos have proven week in and week out that they are a horrible defense. Charles is only the backup in Kansas City, but the Chief coaching staff might want to see what kind of talent Charles really has. A few more touches for Charles this week could lead to a productive day.

Donnie Avery, WR, Rams - Avery has fallen off the map, but this week he faces the league leading Cardinals with a mediocre defense. Coach Haslett needs to be competitive the remaining four games to keep his job. Throwing to Avery over the top of the defense will help do just that.

John Carlson, TE, Seahawks - Since the return of Matt Hasselbeck, Carlson’s stock has been steadily
rising. He has been a big target for Hasselbeck to throw the ball to and one of the few bright spots on a very disappointing team.
