By the time you guys read this, I will have been out shopping with the wife for at least three hours.
I never participated in a single Black Friday until I met my wife in college. We headed out to Best Buy in Baton Rouge, La., around 4 a.m. and I was amazed at all the people who line up to shop. It sounds crazy to me, a guy, but is no different to women than obsessing over fantasy rosters, drafts and trades for 16+ weeks during the fall.
To each his or her own, right? Yeah, well I know that I need a nap right about now.
Here are today’s great reads:
- Today is the day retailers generally turn a heck of a profit, but many could be seeing red this year because of the economic crisis. [Get Rich Slowly]
- At least we have the budding fantasy sports industry to keep the economy afloat during these tough times. [RotoNation]
- The NFL already is making plans for an all-New York City championship weekend in January. [ProFootballTalk]
