Bringing back the Sleeper Watch after some pretty successful calls by Marc last week. Not all of these guys are going to work out every week, that is why they are called sleepers.
But if one of these guys does go off and helps your team win, let us know about it in the comments.
This is the most important time of the season for those teams on the cusp of the playoffs. A last second fill in for an injured star could save your season.
These guys could be buried on your depth chart or floating around the waiver wire. Here are my top sleepers for this week:
Jeff Garcia, QB, Buccaneers - The Bucs are facing the Lions, which at 0-10 are looking to give up. Garcia is losing Earnest Graham for the season and may have to throw the ball a little more to take some pressure off the run game. Warrick Dunn isn’t getting any younger.
Darren McFadden, RB, Raiders - If McFadden plays he is facing the terrible Broncos defense and the Raiders need to do something to give the team a spark. Look for McFadden to lineup in the wildcat, and create some big plays for the offense.
Jordy Nelson, WR, Packers - Any wideout facing the Saints depleted secondary has the ability to put up big numbers. I’m banking on the fact that the Saints will do their best to stop Greg Jennings and Donald Driver, leaving a touchdown available to Nelson.
Heath Miller, TE, Steelers - Miller is having a pretty lackluster season. His breakout game should be tonight in a rivalry game versus the Bengals. Miller should have great opportunities in the red zone against the Bengals.
