I really think that the fantasy football craze has created a slew of better football fans. In the past, fans — myself included — would vote only for the players on their favorite team for the Pro Bowl. But not anymore.
Thanks to a nation of fantasy football junkies, players from all sized markets are getting a ton of votes as evidenced by the early Pro Bowl returns. Drew Brees of the small-market New Orleans Saints leads all vote-getters, no doubt because he has been a fantasy stud across all league formats.
On behalf of the Black & Gold nation, I thank you for voting Brees. Now, go vote again!
