This week’s PPR comes as a late Friday night snack. Yeah, that one is on me.

But Blaine brought the noise with several player updates below. Make sure to pay due diligence to these guys on Sunday, or your fantasy roster could suffer.

The regular season is winding down, and most teams are trying to make a push for the playoffs.  If you have some of these guys on your roster, I bet you are sweating bullets trying to figure out if they will see the field come Sunday.

Well have no fear, the player progress report is here…

Steven Jackson [RB, St. Louis Rams] - Jackson likely is a no-go for this weekend’s game against the 49ers.  Apparently his injured quad muscle had a setback, so Antonio Pittman will get the start instead.  Jackson has been a major disappointment this year and has yet to live up to his draft value.

Reggie Bush [RB, New Orleans Saints] - Bush didn’t see the practice field on Thursday and has been ruled out for this weekend by Sean Payton.  Stay away from him until he has one complete game or a full week of unlimited practice after coming back from his injured knee.

Tony Romo [QB, Dallas Cowboys] - Romo practiced on Thursday, and looks like he is set to start for the ‘Boys this weekend as they face the Redskins.  Romo will be playing with a splint on his pinkie finger.  This is a must-win game for the Cowboys, so Romo will be called upon to score some points this weekend.

Frank Gore [RB, San Francisco 49ers] - Gore missed another practice on Thursday due to a neck injury.  You may recall that earlier in the week, Gore claimed to have suffered a concussion during the 49ers lost to the Rams on Monday night, but later retracted that statement. He said after Friday’s practice that he feels good, so fantasy owners should be cautiously optimistic for his Sunday status.

Ladell Betts [RB, Washington Redskins] - With Clinton Portis possibly out for this weekend, Betts will be the starter in the backfield for the ‘Skins.  There was a little doubt how injured his knee was, but Betts says that he will be ready on Sunday.  Betts will be a solid start this weekend, so scoop him up if you can.
