The Jets did to Anquan Boldin what he had been doing to opposing secondaries through the season’s first four weeks: Lighting it up.

But despite getting lit up in that week 4 game, Boldin maintains his lead through the quarter pole as fantasy football’s No. 1 wide receiver. Of course, scoring 32 points in week 2 against Miami did help just a little bit.

OK, maybe more than just a little bit. In Boldin’s three other games, he has a combined 32.6 points — just a smidge more than his week 2 total. Minus the huge week, those are pretty good WR2 numbers.

Time will tell if Boldin can hold onto that lead, but his current health is of utmost concern for Boldin right now. It was a scary looking hit he took late in that shootout between the Jets and Cardinals, but so far his body has checked out fine.

Boldin, at this point, is a household fantasy name. Everyone expects big things out of him from time-to-time, and he certainly delivers. He plays in a sexy offense that loves to throw the ball. Being in the top-12 is no surprise for him, nor is it a gigantic surprise that he had a hot stretch which helped him land the No. 1 spot.

But I do not think anyone expected to see Washington wide receiver Santana Moss behind Boldin as the No. 2 wide receiver after four weeks. So it is, however, as Moss has ammassed 62.8 fantasy points through four weeks.

Coming in just behind Moss is another slight surprise: Green Bay’s Greg Jennings. With the uncertainty at quarterback all offseason, it was a toss-up between Jennings and teammate Donald Driver as to who would end up as the better fantasy receiver this year. Jennings has answered the call and become Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target and is on the tract to fantasy football studness.

The rest of the top-12 after four weeks:

Brandon Marshall has played only in three games, but finds himself at No. 4 on this list at the quarter pole. In three weeks, Marshall has scored 22.6, 21.5 and 10.5 points. If he keeps going at that rate, he will run away with top receiver honors by the end of the season.

Larry Fitzgerald and Terrell Owens are no strangers to being in the top-12, and fantasy owners should expect both guys to stay on this list through the end of the season.

There are three pairs of teammates on the list: Boldin and Fitzgerald, Marshall and rookie Eddie Royal and Lavernues Coles and Jerricho Cotchery.

Royal is not the only rookie on this list, as Philly wideout DeSean Jackson checks in at No. 12. Both guys have been a surprise this year and it is uncertain if they will continue to play as top-12 receivers, but they have been fun to watch so far this season.

Chris Chambers and Hines Ward both are trying to prove that they still have fantasy relevance after all these years. Chambers has had a promising career but some down years, but appears to be the favorite wide receiver of Philip Rivers in San Diego. Ward keeps getting it done in Pittsburgh even with the pressure that Santonio Holmes is putting on his fantasy value.
