The perfection has ended.

As you can see, my team in the blogger league failed to crack the 100-point threshold for the first time this season. And had I played against the teams from Fantasy Football Fools, Fantasy Football Librarian, Curveballs 4 Jesus or Fan Prophet, my score of 84.74 would have been enough to get The Hazean off to a 4-0 start in the league.

However, my opponent in week 4 was the team from Fantasy Football Exchange, who put up a robust 113.68 points in our contest, dropping The Hazean (3-1) from the ranks of the unbeaten.

No Reggie Wayne for the team this weekend, but that was no excuse. Donald Driver, filling in for the idle Wayne, only managed to score 1.3 points against Tampa Bay. Saints’ runningback Reggie Bush continued his boom/bust ways, registering a pedestrian total of 6.3 points. And Pittsburgh tight end Heath Miller continued his disappointing 2008 campaign with only 1.8 points in the losing effort.

Five players did score in double figures, however. Jay Cutler played less-than-average against the Chiefs but led the team with 17.04 points. His teammate in Denver, kicker Matt Prater, scored 17 points while opponent Dwayne Bowe nothced 12. Frank Gore (14.3) and the Titans defense (15) rounded out the double-digit scorers.

The standings after week 4 still have The Hazean on top of the league, but now in a four-way for first place with Football Jabber, MWC Connection and West Coast Nonsense:

Redemption can be had in week 5 at the hands of fellow first-placer West Coast Nonsense. Led by Tony Romo and Greg Jennings, West Coast Nonsense is seventh in scoring in the league with 379.24 points on the season.
