And another one bites the dust.

Yesterday, Brian Westbrook owners let out a collective gasp as the stud runningback limped off the field and into the locker room early against the Steelers. The news on Westbrook is decent today, as the Eagles are calling him day-to-day.

But today’s news is bad for Saints’ fans and Jeremy Shockey fantasy owners: Shockey owners can prepare to be without for at least three weeks. He elected to undergo sports hernia surgery today after aggravating the injury in yesterday’s 34 - 32 loss against Denver.

So much for making The Hazean’s All-Fantasy First team.

Not good news for the Saints in particular, as the team now is without its top receiver — Marques Colston — and top tight end. Billy Miller likely benefits the most during Shockey’s absence, but I have to think the Saints’ offense takes a little bit of a hit with Colston and Shockey out.

Who’s next, Reggie Bush?
