This is the best time of year for fantasy owners, other than the regular season itself of course.

As most of you guys are participating or about to participate in your annual fantasy football drafts, the anticipation and excitement of the season is palpable. The feelings you have after a draft — how in the world did you get all these guys? How dumb must the rest of your league be? Or did I make a mistake? — are one of a kind.

Yeah, we have all been there. Sometimes so sure during the draft, but afterward you take a look and realize your roster is full of question marks, holes and/or risks. Or you played it safe, hoping a few old wily veterans will make your team consistent enough to get you into the playoffs. Or you are one of those guys who knows that you drafted the best team on the planet, and no one is going to beat you this year.

Whoever you are and whatever team you drafted, a second opinion is always worthwhile. Someone from outside your league, who can guide you and show you where there might be some holes or where you might be weak.

That is where we step in.

Starting this Friday and running each Friday until the regular season starts, The Hazean is going to rate your roster. Of course, you have to send it in. Make sure to include information about your league — size, scoring format, etc. — otherwise we have no idea what we are talking about.

Send your roster to our email address, and we will do our best to break it down, give you some props, tell you where you might need help and get your on our way to a successful 2008 campaign. Because we all want to win this year instead of waiting for next year.
