It was not too long ago that Brett Favre hung up the cleats. Forever, I thought.

Is it true that he wants to come out of retirement already?

ESPN and FanHouse are reporting the Favre has spoken to Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy about a possible comeback this season. All this amid the recent controversial remarks made by Green Bay’s now-starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers makes for a sticky situation in the Frozen Tundra.

Should Favre return this year, it would undoubtedly be for nothing less than as the Packers’ starting quarterback. That certainly would bump up the fantasy values of Green Bay’s offensive talents.

Poor Aaron Rodgers though. Just when he thought he finally could step out of Favre’s shadow and be his own man.
